West Pickering Coyotes

Hi There, we live on about 2/3 of an acre, right beside a creek, in the west end of Pickering, Ontario, on Sheppard Ave.

We have seen Deer, Foxes, Coyotes, Ferrets, all on our property. Recently, a Fox was sitting on our front lawn after dusk, eating something it found.

Recently the Coyotes have been by a great deal.

Sounds like more than two, so perhaps it is siblings. They have been on the driveway, and I think they are keeping an eye on our little dogs, as a meal.

So we go out with the dogs after dark just in case they come around the fence somehow. Lots of noise this morning at 5:30 am.

Went out with dogs at 6:30, one was jogging along the train tracks behind us, not stopping, just a slow jog. I figure that must be their way to and from the human population areas, and back into their green areas.

We have a pond behind us (not used by humans), the creek beside us, lots of Squirrels & rabbits, so must be their territory based on that.

I see them often, so next time, I'll get a photo.
