There's Coyotes in these here parts!

Often around 1:30 am we can hear the Coyotes howling from our home on Stoney Creek Mountain east of Centennial Parkway.


Tonight on my way home from getting gas, there was a Coyote standing in the middle of Highland Road East, eating from a box of French Fries.

It turned and ran into the nearby field. There was no one around so I angled the car towards the field so I could shine my headlights in its direction.

It was definitely a Coyote.

I think this area is full of them!

This morning just off Highland Road I was going out to my car around 7am and my dog was coming in to have breakfast, he spotted the Coyote and barked and followed it. Then the Coyote or Fox started to bark and it signalled another to come close. By the time the second and third awful thing drew near I was driving across the field to collect the dog. Not sure what I can do but I am sure that they will be back for him since they are clever animals, my rifle will be waiting .....
