Sighting of a Bald Eagle

We have a cottage on Berford Lake (North of Wiarton, Ontario) and this year in September my wife was in the kitchen and looked out the window, which faces the lake, and saw a Bald Eagle.
She called me and I was able to see it plainly, about 30 feet away, sitting on a rock in the lake.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get my camera before it flew away.
We told some people in Wiarton and they confirmed that a few sightings were reported on the Bruce Peninsula.
