Sighting in Carleton Place

January 4, 2013, while having coffee in our living room, looking out onto the Mississippi River, in Carleton Place, we saw an American Bald Eagle flying overhead, following the river.

Thirty minutes later, the Eagle flew by our window again, heading the other way!

Unfortunately, we did not have our camera ready, but it was a wonderful sight to behold.
