Sighting at Shand Dam near Fergus


(Fergus, Ontario, Canada)

My wife and I were walking our dogs today on the trail way, not far from the dam, when what I'm sure was a Gray Wolf crossed about a 100 feet in front of us.

It was in the 100 pound range.

At first I thought it was a German shepherd but it was definitely a Gray Wolf

This was October 17th 2011.

I was driving towards Belwood just on the outskirts of Fergus at 12:30 am and I'm sure what I saw to be a grey wolf about 100lbs size. I thought it was a husky, or shepherd dog but it was not.
Wild to see, he looked right at me. Not afraid at all just mozied on he did.
