Seen in Ottawa - what species?

I saw this bird first on the ground, then perched in a tree.

Beautiful brown colouring with a lighter chest and stomach.

Thank you for sending this picture - I'm not sure what type of raptor this is, but I'm sure one of our readers will know!

Looks like a Red Tailed Hawk.
