Saw a Coyote in Brantford this morning

Sheila, one of our readers from Paris, sent us this report of her sighting of a Coyote - I was driving through an industrial area at Hardy Road and Oak Park Road heading to highway 403 westbound, when a Coyote crossed the road in front of me.

My first thought was that it was a dog, but that changed quickly when I realized that its coat was the wrong colour. It stopped at the shoulder to look at me, as I had slowed a bit to try and get a better look at it as well.

I wish I'd had a camera!
