Resident Red-Tailed Hawks

I have garden plots in the at Berkshire Community Gardens, London, behind the Sifton offices on Berkshire Drive.

There are a resident pair of Red-tails who nest in a tree in the wooded area surrounding the gardens.

They are a daily sight, gracefully gliding overhead looking for their next meal.

When they have nestlings, you can hear them crying constantly wanting to be fed. They are comical to watch when they are learning to fly.

I sometimes can see them gliding over my building and over Woodland Cemetery.

It is a real blessing to see them everyday. By the way, we have not had a problem with rabbits or anything else damaging our plantings.

We have a circle of life thing going on here.
