Lucy wrote to tell us - Last night, and many nights last summer, we heard loud howling parties - Coyotes. It is a very strange sound and typically starts at 2 a.m. here in the Oak ridges, Claremont. We closed our windows and went back to sleep! Funny, but I have never seen one on my property.
Rob from Port Credit, Ontario says - I hear them all the time, there's a huge fenced yard next to my house, they all live in there. You hear them howl from time to time, real loud and it sounds like there's at least twenty of them - maybe after a kill?
Dan from Whitby says that there are Coyotes in Durham GTA - I do security in Durham region just outside of Toronto. I check all the properties bought for the 407 extension and have seen 10 or more this week alone on my night shift.
Another reader says us - In the Bayview Village park, I know some live there and there is a hydro corridor nearby (which makes it easy for the Coyotes to travel).
Thank you all for sending us this info!
