Playing Possum?

On the morning of May 7th we found a dead Possum in the road outside our home, looked to be fully grown and rather fat with just a trickle of blood from it's mouth.

My wife laid it carefully on the grass verge.

This is the first we have seen one and a friend's daughter, who is studying to be a vet's assistant, says she wasn't aware they were here.

I will contact Animal Control tomorrow to tell them.

It looked so peaceful laying there, what a shame.
