Peregrine Falcon

Michael H reported ...I was sitting on my front porch watching all the Sparrows, Mourning Doves and Blue Jays at my bird feeder.

The Falcon swooped down at the Sparrows at high speed no more than 10 feet in front of me and scattered the birds.

The Sparrows returned about 5 minutes later and the falcon made another attack. Both times it swooped back up high in the air and I could see it circling high above. What a rush!


Another one of our readers, Terry W from Brockville also observed a Peregrine Falcon, he said ... I saw it today at 15:30 on the silo at Lafarge Brockville, pigeon hunting.
