Never seen this bird before


(South Eastern Ontario)

September 7, 2012. I saw two of these briefly, today, as I walked out the back door. Turns out my mother, who lives across the road, saw them yesterday, also.

They were the size of a Robin, slightly thinner, black body, white 3/4" stripe down the back, 1" long very thin beak, and then they were gone.

I'm in south eastern Ontario.
