Kitchener sighting

It was yesterday, June 26th at about 7:20AM when I spotted a Coyote just about 10 metres from the sidewalk off of Doon South and Chestnut Hill Crescent.

Just it's head was poking above the tall grass in the field, looking at us.

I shouted at it and it took off, bouncing through the grass towards the wooded area.

I think that it was a female since it seemed pretty small and too early in the season for it to be a new pup.

I suspect it was attracted by all the garbage-day smells.
