Junior Kindergarten child

Hi, what age do children start Junior Kindergarten start in Ontario. So if a child was born June 2018, will she start Junior Kindergarten September 2022? Or when? Thanks!

Yes, Junior Kindergarten is for children to start in the September of the year in which they turn four years old, so if your daughter was born in June 2019, then she will start JK in 2023.

Also, some schools across Ontario, will be starting a Pre-Junior Kindergarten program for children who are three years old, so there may be one of those where you live.

I'm not sure if this has been implemented yet or not, but there is talk about this.
