It might have been a Coyote!

Just after 6:00 pm on Sunday, 13 November 2011.

Lions park in Poplar Hill, Ontario.

It was quite dark when I was walking the dog on Poplar Hill Road along the park.

Swinging my flashlight I caught sight of what I at first thought was a German Shepherd.

It was not near a path and it was alone.

While keeping the flashlight trained on it, I headed straight for it.

It slunk around me, not making a sound and crossed the road into the back yards on the east side.

I followed and it loped away toward the north where I lost sight of it.
