Is this a Screech Owl or Great Horned fledgling?

I discovered this little Owl perched in my barn last night on top of the hay feeder. It ignored me as I walked past him/her within a few feet while I did my chores to feed the 2 month old bottle calves in the pen.

It is only about 6" in length and it is December 5/23.

Help with identification would be appreciated.

I also hope that the wild barn cat out there won't be a threat to the little owl.
