How hot does it get in Southern Ontario?

I have heard that summer can be really hot and humid in Ontario, south of Toronto. How hot and humid does it really get? Where are places where it isn't as humid - maybe beside the lakes? Or maybe it is more humid there?
Thanks for your question, Dan. There are some areas of Southern Ontario which seem to be hotter than others, the Leamington area for example is often hot and humid in the summer, that is why it is a centre for tomato growing - the tomato plants love the heat and humidity.
Anyway, you are not a tomato, and may not enjoy such heat and humidity!
In the rest of the area the summer temperatures range between 26.3ºc in July and 25.2ºc during August, which are the two hottest months. There are days which are hotter, but again there are days which are cooler.
Plus, although the humidity is caused by the close proximity of the water of the Great Lakes - the lakes are also a great way to cool down at the many great beaches along Lake Erie and Lake Huron - check out
