Great Gray Owl, Kingsville, Ontario
In the past few weeks there have been reports of a Great Grey Owl sighted in Kingsville, Ontario, and even CBC TV has sent their crew to see it!
This type of Ontario Owl is usually only spotted around Lake Superior, was seen in a parking lot at a grocery store, and also on some of the rural roads in nearby Essex County.
The Great Grey Owl is the biggest species of Owl in North America, is diurnal (hunts during the day-time) and stands close to two feet tall, and Birdwatchers from all over Canada and the United States.
Wow Cindy - thank you so much for telling us about Hooty the Great Gray Owl, I had heard that one had been spotted in the Kingsville area!
Also, thanks for the updated photos of Hootie - he sure is a fine looking Owl!
