Found at work

Unfortunately this is a sad story of abuse.

I work in the Weston area of Toronto and spotted one walking along the railroad tracks.

Someone had cut off his tail and wrapped a fine wire around what was left of his tail with plastic bags attached to the wire.

I managed to remove the wire and bags and gave him some food.

He seems to be doing OK.

Why would someone do something so cruel?

I don't know why anyone would do such an awful thing, but bless you for taking care of him and helping him on his way!
