Flock of Robins in front of my house

by Mike
(Etobicoke, Canada)

Spotted 30 to 40 Robins in front of my house in Etobicoke, Ontario, quite the sight, with really cold temps approaching next week, not sure if the birds are confused that spring is arriving soon or if they are just loading up on food from the Cedar trees in front of my house. January 20th, 2013.

Thanks for telling us about these birds - if they have returned early, they are in for a shock!

If you see them again, maybe suet would be something you could put out for them, as it would help them through this cold weather.

Robin flock filled three trees
by: Mary G

FYI - I was walking and yelling for the Robins.
March 10, 2013 - Lodi, WI
I got to the top of my Hill and made some family arrangements that I knew would please my recently deceased Mother - we had discussed her message back to me be in form of birds. All of a sudden three trees were filled with birds, they swarmed in and landed in the trees. I called for my partner, to witness this, a sight neither of us had ever seen. I stopped counting at about 23 and I wasn't through with the 2nd tree before they flew off....South! And now I have seen Robins alone and paired and some are VERY FAT!
