First Turkey Vulture
by Tara
(Grand Valley, Ontario)
The Red Tail Hawks are coming back for the season - some other birds of prey are on the move, but you know that most of the other animals are waking up out of winter hibernation when you see the Turkey Vultures.
Saw it, in all it's glory the other sunny warm day in an updraft with it's unmistakable outline.
Can't wait now for the Osprey to come!!!
Thanks for your report of your sighting of the first Turkey Vulture - we too have seen them in the London area, first just one or two, but over the weekend we spotted up to 6 or 7 flying together, quite low above the tree-tops.
