Early Morning Owl

I was outside throwing ball for my dog at 6 am.

Suddenly saw something move up in my evergreen tree above the street.

I tried to get photos to identify it.

I'm still not sure what species it is, but it has fairly prominent ears.

It was probably a Great Horned owl.
