Eagle Place, Brantford

My son Gregory lives in Brantford, Ontario.

On May 6th I was talking to him on the phone and he told me of seeing a Bald Eagle on the Grand River.

And guess in what area of the city? Eagle Place!

It got it's name because the Eagles used it for a breeding area years ago.

I live in BC now. I'm 74 and spent more then half my life in Brantford Ontario, and never saw an Eagle there.

I've fished and boated on the river in that area. it's perfect for Eagles.

I also lived in Brantford for a short time in the late 1970's, and I didn't see Eagles, although I would have loved to see one!

I currently live in Eagle Place, the best place in Brantford to live. I grew up on farm near Princeton, Ontario, and moved to Brantford in 1980. I got to Eagle Place in the mid 1980's and fell in love with the area.
