Discovering the Yellow Bird
by Neil

Male Goldfinch
Me and my family were in our backyard setting a bird feeder.
We hung it on a piece of wood fence.
A few weeks later, a beautiful male and female American Goldfinch came to the bird feeder and ate some seeds and breadcrumbs.
Most of them live in the U.S.A.
Hello there - here in the St Thomas / London area, we see lots of these little fellas - they are lovely and they eat the seeds from the thistles that are growing around the edges of corn fields.
In the winter time, they are still here, but they lose the beautiful yellow plumage and become a dull, olive colour.
