A couple of times my wife & I have seen Coyotes in and near Scarborough, Ontario.
In circa 2004 while cross-country skiing we have seem them cross a trail in the Highland Creek valley.
In the winter of 2012 we saw at least one Coyote at the base of Old Kingston Road and as late as the summer of 2012 I have found their scat in the Rouge Park.
I have seen Coyotes in rural southern Ontario since the 1990's.
I am originally from Elgin County, and in the 1970's the first coyotes were noticed in my area.
My uncle actually managed to shoot one. Since then, they seem to be ubiquitous.
