Coyote found in back of home

It was 8:45 p.m. I was closing the shades in my house and about 40 feet away I see a Coyote sitting there....... almost as if it were staring into my home.

I turned on the light on the back porch and it didn't immediately leave, but once I knocked on the window it left, but not quickly at all.

I have pets and am worried if they have been watching my house knowing I have pets.

I refuse to let my dog out right now after seeing this.

This is not the first time I've seen them this close but is the first time I've seen them sit still like this.

Thanks for telling us about your Coyote sighting, perhaps you could take your dog for short walks, making sure he is on the leash, and when you let him outside in the yard, go outside with him, and make sure he is safe. Good Luck!
