Cooper's Hawk?

We saw a new bird of prey in our area today.

I think it might be a Cooper's Hawk, though I am not sure.

It was looking for birds. It is definitely a visitor.

I didn't see this bird in our park before. Location - Vaughan near Highway 7 and Bathurst.

Thanks for sending us the info about your Hawk sighting, I hope other people in your area see him too.

This past New Year's Day 2014 we too saw a Cooper's Hawk in my sister's backyard in Maple, Ontario, at Teston Road and Jane Street(not far from Highway 400 and Major Mackenzie Drive). I threw a piece of prosciutto at it and it flew away. :(
