Broad Winged Hawk in Orleans

This majestic hawk perched in the tree in front of our home, while robins, sparrows, chickadees, and finches screeched and swooped in order to discourage his rest.

We watched and was amazed for the two hours he allowed us to watch him sleep preen and stretch.

How beautiful are these birds of prey.
