Bald Eagle in Beachville

Tonight, February 20, 2013, my daughter spotted a Bald Eagle circling our house in Beachville just west of Woodstock.

She came running in the house to tell us and skeptically I went outside to investigate.

After waiting a few minutes, I heard a crow cawing and knew it had to have encountered the bird. As I looked to where the noise was coming from, the crow appeared in the sky beside my house then out came a large bald eagle flying closely behind it!

What an awesome sight! Tail feathers as white as the snow!

Had no idea they were so close to this area and never thought I'd see one just outside my backyard.
