Possible Wolf sighted in Erin, Ontario

I know that there are an abundance of Coyotes in this area, but has anyone seen any Wolves?

I live backing onto conservation area and have seen paw prints that are huge, then the other day I saw what I thought my my 100 lb dog following a scent through the bush heading for the conservation area.

When I whistled for her, the animal never even acknowledged the whistle and kept at the same pace, and to my surprise I turned around and my dog was at my side - so what did I see?

When I went to find out what it was, my dog immediately caught the scent of something and her hackles went up, so I immediately retreated and headed for home.

We also had an encounter with what I thought was a Coyote on our lawn that our dog chased off the property and she also was all worked up that night too.

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen any Wolves in the area and if so were they darker then the Coyote?

This was a Coyote we saw on Christmas Day 2010 in the same spot that this "Wolf-like" animal darted off to.

Saw a what looked like a grey wolf run across Hwy 124 between 2nd line and 3rd line on Dec 6, 2018. Had to brake it was that close!

March 18 - I saw a Grey Wolf on my property on 3rd Line South of 22. On March 21, heard Wolf calls.

Today October 18 , 2015 my husband and I were in the Terra Cotta Conservation Area late around 6:00 pm. We were on the Coventry path and a Red Fox came bounding out of the bush straight at me. When it saw me it veered sharply and took off. A few minutes later a Wolf (far too big to be a Coyote) followed at a much slower pace as it either saw me or sensed me. Would a Wolf pursue a Fox? They were within 50 ft of me, my husband was ahead 50 ft, were we at any risk?

Tonight I went to get my little girl from her friend's house as she called me to come get her and as I was walking down a side road off of Eastmain I believe it was a large black wolf in somebody's garbage getting something to eat. I found it fascinating to see that. I wish I could have got a picture of it, but my phone was dead, damn, I so wish I got a shot of the big black wolf.

Gray Wolf spotted on Sunday while driving from Terra Cotta to Silver Creek Conservation - stopped to have a very good look at it. Also saw a Bald Eagle just north of Inglewood the same day.

We just saw a Wolf chasing a deer at 4:00 yesterday in the Forks of the Credit village yesterday!
