Here are the wild animals I have seen in Southern Ontario:
Coyote - one outside Hamilton (running through a field with what looked like a chicken in its mouth)
Coyote - one racing across Lakeshore Road in Mimico (West Toronto) one summer night about 2 am
Opossum - about 3.30 am sitting in the middle of Lakeshore Rd in Burlington - the thing didn't even move out of the road as I drove up
Fisher - near Uxbridge
Red Fox - Forest Hill neighbourhood of Toronto
Mink - in a ditch near Hamilton
White Tailed Deer buck - at the side of the 401 west of 427
Herons - Don River
But where are the grasshoppers? When I was a kid there were thousands in every field and I haven't seen one in years
Thanks for the info - I'm glad to hear that you are seeing lots of wildlife!
I'm not sure why there aren't so many Grasshoppers around these days, maybe one of our readers will know
