Snowy Owl in the Snow

My husband Vance Verleye and I have lived in Chatham-Kent Ontario our whole lives, we are both in our mid fifties and saw a snowy owl today while driving to my mother's just outside Tilbury, in the country.

We are use to sighting hawks on telephone poles during this drive but to see this beautiful bird both of us had our breath taking away.

Unfortunately our phones aren't very sophisticated so we couldn't get a decent picture, but we will never forget it.

A great way to start a new and hopefully better year.

Great post and picture. I am at Friday Harbour on Lake Simcoe...I have seen a few snowy owls here the past few years. One chap that I saw a few days ago said he has also saw a Barred Owl which is fantastic. Here is a link to information on the Barred Owl. https://tinyurl.com/w35vd8yx
